This mighty 10-inch was a top-down improvement of its predecessor, which now delivers over 35mm of mechanical excursion. The 2.75” coil punches way above its weight, outperforming most 3” coils without adding weight. The motor also features a large magnet shorting ring (faraday ring) to reduce distortion and deliver smoother response across the entire acoustic spectrum. The motor & coil setup is mated to an extremely robust double-layer spider with fully tied-on & doubled-up “XL” tinsel leads. A competition-grade paper cone and a strong foam surround were used to complete this masterpiece.
